Crunchy Roast Chickpeas

A delicious and easy recipe, perfect for a crunchy snack or addition to your next salad. 

What you need: 

1 tin of chickpeas (or equivalent cooked) 

1 tablespoon of olive oil 

1 teaspoon of ground cumin 

Salt and pepper to season 

What you do: 

1. Turn the oven on to 180 degrees celsius. 

2. Rinse the chickpeas and pat dry with a clean tea towel or paper towel. In a bowl coat the chickpeas with olive oil, ground cumin, salt and pepper. 

3. Spread evenly on to a oven tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 20 mins, then mix around and bake for another 25 minutes. 

4. Remove from the oven. Chickpeas are ready when they are golden and crunchy. 

Enjoy as a snack, or add to your salads for a crunchy element that is a good source of fibre and protein.
